It was a balmy evening at a city festival in Bonn when fate intervened for Berkan Aydin. Amidst the crowds, stage lights, and summery atmosphere, the teenager immediately stood out at Klaus Maresch’s booth. There was something untamed in his gaze, a hint of wildness, but also shy curiosity that sparked the imagination. A few days later, he was transformed into a teen wolf by make-up artist Vero Bente – with sharply defined features, a wild mane, and that special sparkle that you can’t fake with make-up.
The stage for his debut was spectacularly chosen: the Bonn Sterntor in the blue hour. Historic walls cast long shadows, while Berkan – half human, half mythical creature – posing on the official car of the Federal Agency for Magical Creatures was photographed by Bonn photographer Barbara Frommann. In this scenery, fantasy merged with reality: a young werewolf, freshly discovered, in the heart of the city, as if the magical world were just a heartbeat away.

Since that appearance, Berkan has been more than just a young model – he is a magical subject that combines photography and fiction. Soon he was also used for filming for the show Germany’s Biggest Secrets, where his aura between youthfulness and mystery as a werewolf in uniform could be perfectly staged.
But Berkan does not only live in mythical roles. Again and again he returns to the here and now, when he models for urban streetwear from labels such as Tombo and Just Hoods in the fan shop of the Bundesamt für magische Wesen bookstore. Between hoodies, shirts and college jackets, there always remains a remnant of that wild energy that made him a teen wolf at the Sterntor.
So Berkan Aydin stands today on a special threshold: He is the face of a generation that wears street style – and at the same time the youthful werewolf who immersed himself in the world of magic in the shadow of old city walls.
In civilian life, Berkan Aydin is active with the city police in Hessen and the volunteer fire department. The 18-year-old came to the first model shooting with his mother, who wanted to know exactly what photographer Barbara Frommann and Klaus Maresch were planning with her young son.
