Christmas is all about candlelight, security, and contemplation – but in this photo shoot, the festive season is shown from a completely different, erotic side. Two young men pose in seductive Christmas outfits: Santa shorts, glittering hats, perhaps shirtless, revealing more than concealing. In their hands, they hold books as if they were well-behaved and absorbed in reading.
Christmas magic in the photo shoot
Christmas is more than fairy lights, mulled wine, and contemplation – it is also a time full of fantasy, role models, and playful stagings. This is precisely what makes the Christmas season a perfect motif for creative shoots. It gets particularly exciting when classic Christmas symbols are reinterpreted – as in our shoot with two male Christmas elves at the Christmas market in Cologne.
In the midst of festively decorated stalls, sparkling lights, and the scent of cinnamon and roasted almonds, a series of images was created that combines winter romance with a tongue-in-cheek eroticism. The two elves – in modern, figure-hugging outfits with clear references to the traditional Christmas costume – play with closeness, glances, and body language. Sometimes teasing, sometimes familiar, always authentic and self-confident.
A Cologne Christmas market with its Christmas magic and the Vohwinkel photo studio provided the perfect backdrop for this: historical architecture, warm lighting, and an urban environment that gives the shoot a special depth. Between the mulled wine stand and the illuminated archway, moments were created that did not seem posed, but were alive, spontaneous, and full of energy. Christmas was not only depicted here, but lived – with humor, desire, and creativity.
Such shoots at Christmas show how versatile seasonal themes can be. Christmas doesn’t have to be well-behaved or kitschy. It can be modern, sexy, and playful at the same time – and thus deliver exactly the kind of content that stands out, evokes emotions, and remains in the memory.
A shoot like this with two models is not only a tribute to the Christmas season, but also a statement for creative freedom and individual staging. Because sometimes it is precisely the unexpected motifs, like in this Christmas magic, that unfold the strongest effect.
